The patented flange design allows the steel unit to act as a “spring” when the bands are installed. This contained tension keeps the bands secure even if the pole diameter changes through wet and dry conditions. |

Since other reinforcement products do not have a flange, their “knife edge” cuts into the pole and can move - causing the banding to loosen.
